Despite the fact that women constitute almost half of the Nigerian population, they have long been excluded and marginalised from the electoral process. The 2019 elections saw a decline in the number of women elected, which suggests that progress is not being made. This calls for imminent action to ensure the inclusion of women in the electoral process.

To promote the participation and representation of women, we carry out research to identify barriers facing women and how to address them, trainings to build the capacity of women, and advocacy among stakeholders to promote women’s rights issues.
